Age of Empires IV Anniversary Edition Windows - PC/Xbox Digital Code - GLOBAL

What is ₹40 Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition and how does it work?

₹40 Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is the full strategy game, supplied as a digital code rather than a disc. Your code arrives by email; you redeem it through your Microsoft account and the game downloads ready to play. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so a single purchase covers both Xbox and Windows PC. Once you redeem the code on your Microsoft account, you can install it on your Xbox console and a Windows PC signed in to the same account and your saves and progress carry between them.

The game is a real-time strategy title about building civilizations and fighting historical wars. You gather resources, raise cities and lead armies on land and at sea through four campaigns and dozens of missions that span from the Dark Ages to the Renaissance, following figures such as Joan of Arc and Genghis Khan. Beyond the campaigns, you can play skirmishes against the computer and online multiplayer with other people, and cross-play lets Xbox and PC players share the same matches. Being the Anniversary Edition, it includes the civilizations, maps and features added since the original launch, so you get the expanded version rather than the first release.

A couple of details are worth checking before you play. On consoles, the game runs on Xbox Series X, Series S and Xbox One and through Play Anywhere it also runs on Windows PC. Online multiplayer on a console requires an Xbox network subscription, which Microsoft now includes in Xbox Game Pass Essential and the tiers above it, sold separately. On Windows PC, online multiplayer doesn't require that subscription, and the campaigns and single-player skirmishes require it on either platform.

This is a US code, so you must redeem it on a Microsoft account set to the United States. The region on the code must match the region on the account, or the code will be declined.

The game is delivered as a digital code, with nothing physical to wait for. You can buy Age of Empires IV for Xbox online at StanShop and the code reaches your email within minutes of purchase.
